Emailing Basics: Irritant Or Liberator, a must know for List Builders

Initially email (short for electronic mail) was a service which allowed researchers and scientists working on government sponsored projects to communicate with co-workers via the internet while in separate locations. Emailing programs like outlook express can be used to send, receive, create, store, print and delete email messages. A "username" and domain name, provided by Internet Access Providers(IAP or ISP) for example Google, gmail, or Yahoo mail are essentially building blocks of an email address. An email address provides an individual the ability to receive internet messages (email) in a variety of styles and formats. For example if we decide to use gmail to obtain a email address, our email address will look something like this, yourusername@gmail.com.

I use to wonder what the @ symbol stands for... I finally performed researched about what this symbol means, and found out the symbol @ is a initialism of the words, "pronounced at" and is used to simply separate the username from the domain name.

Modern technology allows us humans to communicate via the internet, through a process known as "internet telephony" or voice-over-IP(Internet Protocol). This feature leverages the internet in a way that connects a calling party, for example a "Publisher" to one or more local or long-distance called parties (or Recipient). Understand that when in the process of Sending Our Marketing Messages, that just as we address a letter when using a postal delivery service. In order for the intended recipient to receive our message... We are required to have prior knowledge of there specific email address to be able to contact them, and vice verse.

Simple mail transfer protocol, or SMTP which is a communication protocol used by some outgoing mail servers in which are operated by our internet service provider determines the best route for data or messages through the internet and then proceeds to send our message. For example, we create an send a message using a email program. Our email program then proceeds to contact software on our service providers outgoing mail server. The Outgoing mail servers discovers the most effective and appropriate route for our message, then sends the message traveling along internet routers to the recipient's incoming mail server.

Technology provides us with the ability to specify our criteria using filters which can be used to determine what to do with incoming messages as they arrive. To manage this feature, first open your gmail account and proceed to the "create a filter" link on the top of your gmail account which is located on the right-hand side of the "Search the Web" button. Now input the email addresses of people whose messages you want/or don't want to receive in the "From:" section. Then select the "Next Step" button, now Categories it using the specific options as you wish. For example, you can choose the "Apply the Label" option to organize the messages from a particular email in a specific area you wish (e.g.Folder). Just check mark the "Apply the Label" section, and click "Choose Label" then scroll down to "New Label" to categories a specific email address to be placed. You may also choose to "Delete it" and/or Star incoming messages, from this specific email address. When done click the "Create Filter" button, you may also apply the same criteria to existing messages encompassing that email address by check marking the "Also Apply Filter to xxx conversations below" xxx is how many messages received from a particular email address.

As you receive email messages an incoming mail server-also operated by our IAP or Internet Access Provider, holds the messages in our inbox until we use our email program to retrieve them. In respect to acknowledging the
Importance of building our list, and personalization when sending our marketing messages to our opt-in mailing list. Our responsibilities as list builders is one maintain the privacy and feeling of importance for our list. Therefore putting the email address of our Opt-in List in the "To:" field deprives our list the unalienable right of privacy and self-empowerment... Why? simply because committing the above action actually allows the intended recipients (our list), to know that the same message they received. Was also received by a large list of others, which may weaken trust...

Secondly, we are publicizing another individuals email address without permission to do so...
A solution to this problem is using the mail merge feature provided by the combined capabilities of Microsoft Outlook 2003, and Microsoft Word 2003 (You may Also use Word 2007 to Mail Merge Outlook not required). Mail merge allows us to address our list in a personalized format, by creating a single message for each recipient. Mail merge uniquely enables us the ability of providing the same information, in each version of a document or in this case an email message. Watch an Online Video on using mail merges, for mass mailing purposes

So is email an Irritant Or Liberator? You tell me...

Next is to label each niche topic with a problem it's facing, then proceeding to narrow it down to the most profitable niche. Discover which niche topic is most profitable, by inputting each niche topics keyword in google. Whatever niche topics' keyword produces the highest results, naturally you want to pick this niche to market to. The Social Web...
An additional strategy you could embrace is obtaining real time data and information, provided by social networking websites. Social networking sites are the essential unique features, of the new web 2.0 technology... With social websites like myspace, ebay, youtube or wowzza. The end users is no-longer the user of the website, but a participant providing feedback, and data into the applications. Additionally social websites provide us with an excellent resource of discovering what's on the mind of our customers. Thus allowing us the intangible tools of getting inside the minds of our customers. Which is essential to selling any product or service, or when in the beginning process of deciding which product or service you want to provide.

Google trends: Discover what your customers are searching for.

An you'll see the Top ten Hot Trends as Google calls them on the home page. Select,"more hot trends" on the bottom page to view the other top 100 hot markets you potentially can discover many opportunities. Now when I say adapt to the over all changes of the hot markets, I mean if you see that the majority of the top hot trends are about sports, or specifically about golf. Then on this day you should provide content referencing sports and/or golf in a way that it relates to your niche topic. Provide some incentives to your customers related to golf for example, "If Tiger Woods wins the U.S. open, I will give every buying customer my free product (or service) along with the chance to win brand new free golf clubs."

How to discover what my customer is thinking...

It is a true blessing for marketers to be able to have knowledge of what customers are searching for. A profit yes a profit is being made off customer search results through ad programs like google adwords. Knowing what's on the minds of potential customers is priceless. Digg allows you to view the most popular topics, news, videos and images. We can even discover what is the most popular topic, in our general niche category by selecting world and business. We can leverage the ideas of both google.com/trends and Digg by discovering what the general concept of the trends are in google trends. Then proceeding to digg and leveraging that concept by going to the specific topic category, and viewing what is most popular in that category. Adapt accordingly as I discussed earlier.

We now know what are customers are searching for, and we know what's they are thinking... But the question is, what is actually worthy enough to our customers so that they discover there right-hand and politely use it in a way that dramatically increases the dimensions of our wallets... Just because someone is searching for something, it doesn't mean they are willing to buy into it. The ultimate goal of a business is to acquire a profit, the items customers inquire for aren't necessarily "buy" worthy. To obtain any profit, a business is required to sell a product or service... The ability to discover what's selling is a wonderful skill to possess. Discovering or stumbling upon what specific category of product or services customers are willing and able to buy is essential to the art of business prosperity...
Trends change at the rate in which many of us wish our pay cycle could mimic. There are certain business environment netiquette (unwritten code of rules) when your primary mission is successfully selling.

Discover what customers are Buying: Ebay

Ebay can be leveraged in several ways... To discover what customers are buying go to ebay.com Proceed to click on Categories on the top left-hand corner of your browser. When I went to ebay myself, I discovered that the Clothing,Shoes and Accessories Category. Along with the jewelry and watches category, were consistently the categories customers buy from the most. I noticed that Women Clothing (829921) is were the majority of the profit on that specific category was. For the men, men's clothing (371817) was the were the profit was also coming from in this category. Additionally, ebay provides us with the ability to narrow it down to a sub niche like category of for example women's clothing that are most profitable in this particular category. For example, when clicking on the link entitled,"Women Clothing" within the clothing, shoes and accessories category. You can view what particular item of clothing is selling the most. Noticed that Shirts and Tops are king in terms of popularity in this particular category. Use this knowledge when providing your main product of service, and leverage this by for example using these products as incentives. List Building GEms

A potential customer receiving valued information about a product or service via Opt-in is known as a Lead...A person possessing interest in what you have to offer. Leads are a excellent strategy for effective list building, and how you use each gem will determine your success in Opt-in email marketing...

I suppose you're thinking about of course attempting to politely introduce your product or service to all your gems. Why not? That's what they've signed up for...right. No. You have to understand that when this lead stumbled upon your opt-in form, they were unaware of what really occurred...

Developing, and building the also important credibility is the not only proper, but increasingly more profitable in the long-run. You don't want to immediately sell to your leads because perhaps for example you might be contacting them at a low point in there lives. Instead allow your gems to develop a foundation of trust, and friendship, thus bridging the choosing gap between them in your profitable assets. Building a relationship with your gems, and allowing them to process at there own pace will have all your gems actually asking you about your assets without you even having to say one thing about it.

An ambitious individual such as yourself believes in obtaining a profitable list...
Everyone of you are aware of the...well..mind bottling profit in opt-in email marketing. For every one dollar spent in email marketing, on average a return of 57 dollars is to be in your wallet by daylight my friends... So to waste that one dollar on buying leads can have you missing out on this incredible return investment.
Buying leads is tricky business, and I hate to break it to you but do you really "buy" into leads only exclusive to you my friend... Now you know how I just love stats, did you know on average a single lead could be owned by up to a thousand different people... So don't expect any break through miracles in terms of obtaining any real profit from buying hundredths, or even one hundredth thousands of leads because they ain't buying it period.

A risky but effective solution to your problems is establishing your very own lovely lead capture page, aka squeeze page. A lead capture page is a individual page in which you provide something of value to your visitors, in exchange for there contact information.

Lead capture are risky because your "due process" will only allow financial security. Provided you obtain the required knowledgeable assets, of high traffic keyword categories for extreme effectiveness via lead capture page. The endless hair pulling process of time consuming keyword research for your brand or niche topic are the knowledgeable assets required for a swarm of traffic. Thus providing gems here, there, everywhere via free search engine traffic. As what is said when deleting all spam messages in your gmail email account,"Hooray!" your dreams of never having to purchase Paper per click (PPC) advertisements are now reality...

In the real world the paper per clicks surrounding this article, are a reflection of your perspective... You've seen these replicates before just the other day. Why would you click them again? You know what you'll be viewing. And you know what there about...
Think of your gems in a similar manner, respect them as you should respect those who contribute there resources, time and money to acquire a gem... A clicking ray of hope is the icing on the cake (sell). It is nothing more, and should not be top on by more than a single cherry of appreciation for your gems valued click of self empowerment towards what you can assume they believe to be a profitable asset...

Above all else, respect that your lead clicked your pay button, now they have become your gem. They hunted you down and found you and demanded you provide your valuable product or service to them for financial empowerment.

Thus he/or she is a gem that will last for a lifetime...
